Hailey Gavin is a documentary editor and producer who is passionate about subtle, character-driven storytelling. Her work often features interweaving narratives that influence and shape each other.

She was the editor and story producer on the 40 minute film “Until He’s Back” which won the Oscar-qualifying award for Best Short at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. She also pitched, produced, and edited the Emmy-nominated unscripted television episode “The New Death.”

Hailey’s documentary and video pieces have appeared in outlets including TIME, Insider, Slate Magazine, Scripps News and the Orlando Sentinel. Her video essays analyzing film and TV have garnered praise from pop culture outlets and gained millions of views on YouTube. She’s currently a staff editor and producer with Scripps News Longform.
